Spotts earns All-Conference honors on the final day of the PSAC Outdoor Championships

Freshman Olivia of the Lock Haven women’s track and field team earned All-Conference honors on the final day of the PSAC Outdoor Championships.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's outdoor track and field team completed the third and final day of competition at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Championships in Shippensburg, Pa., on Saturday (May 2).
 
Freshman Olivia Spotts earned All-PSAC honors in the Javelin Throw. Spotts took third place with an NCAA provisional mark of 141-8 (43.19m).

Maria Puglia also impressed in the event with a fifth-place finish.  Puglia had a career-best mark of 135-6 (41.30m).

Nicole Caroll earned fifth place in the 800m. Carroll finished the race in 2:17.98 and has found the podium in back-to-back seasons in the event.

Makayla Grace Weber took eighth place on the podium in the 400m Hurdles. Weber finished in 1:05.38.

Clarissa Davis earned her way on the podium in the Shot Put. Davis reached a mark of 40-5 (12.32m) and finished in eighth place.

Samantha Trench earned eighth place and a podium finish in the High Jump by clearing 5-3.75 (1.62m). Reagan Irons cleared the same mark as Trench and took tenth place.

Rain Collins, Kelci Carle, Alexanne Fite and Natalie Gentzel finished eighth in the 4x400m Relay. The team finished in 3:59.11 to earn a spot on the podium.

Freshman Ava Komorowski rounded out the young Bald Eagle Javelin Throw trio qualifiers by finishing 11th with a mark of 124-1 (37.83m).

Kaydence Strange took 14th place in the 1500m by finishing in 4:55.06.

Lock Haven took 12th out of the 15 competing teams in total points.

Slippery Rock won the conference championship with 146.5 team points, followed by West Chester with 106 and California (Pa.) with 102.

Up Next:
Qualifiers for the 2026 NCAA DII National Championships will compete on May 21-23 in Emporia, Kansas.
