LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven men's soccer team and ninth-year head coach Patrick Long announced its incoming recruiting class for 2026.
 
The Bald Eagles welcome seven student-athletes from Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and England.  
 
The future Bald Eagles have all either signed a National Letter of Intent to compete at The Haven or have been accepted and/or are enrolled at Lock Haven.
 
Long also announced the addition of Rocco Birns to the coaching staff as a graduate assistant.
 
From Coach Long: "We are excited to welcome seven incoming players as a part of the 2026 recruiting class. I appreciate the hard work and commitment from (outgoing) Graduate Assistant Coach Rodgers and his strong recruiting efforts. We look forward to these talented student-athletes joining our large group of returners from our '25 PSAC playoff team. Of the seven players, four join us from Pennsylvania (Barabas, Isardat, Shealy, and Syed), one from New York (Freelove), one from Maryland (Nambiar), and one international from England (Stanton). Once again, our strong group of Alumni and supporters helped to keep us informed with talented players in their respective areas. I also look forward to our new graduate assistant coach Rocco Birns joining us and helping these seven men transition to college soccer and life at the Haven."

Accolades: earned BCIAA Boys Soccer All-Division 2 Team honors ... competed in MLS NEXT for two years.  
Why I chose Lock Haven: I found Lock Haven my freshman year of high school. The more I looked into it, it had everything I was looking for. The opportunities, along with the educational and athletic programs available really made it home for me.
 
Abdullah Syed

Intended Major: Sports management          
Accolades: captained his high school team as a sophomore and junior ... was selected for one of the top USL 2 programs and UPSL teams in Florida ... was one of the top performers at his academy.

Why I chose Lock Haven: I wanted to experience being a college athlete. I like the program and I have friends there who speak very highly of Lock Haven

Accolades: named Pipeline ECNL RL Player of the Tournament ... earned Second Team All-County honors.
Why I chose Lock Haven: I chose Lock Haven because I wanted to pursue my goal of getting a good education in the medical field and be able to pursue my passion for soccer at the next level. I loved the campus and the people helped me feel so welcomed.

Accolades: named Player of the Month in April at the U17 level ... trained with the first team of OFI Crete FC ... helped his team finish second in the Super League Greece U17 ... earned trials with the Greece U16 national team ... placed eighth at the Novio Tournament in the Netherlands ... finished first in Heraklion, Greece.           
Why I chose Lock Haven: I chose Lock Haven because I think it's a good fit for me. I like the coach and I think I could combine good my athletics and school.
