FINDLAY, Ohio – The Lock Haven men's soccer team fell to Findlay, 3-1, Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at DeHaven Field.
 
Lock Haven (0-1-1) outshot Findlay, 12-10, and held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks, but the Oilers capitalized on an early first-half surge before adding an insurance goal late in the second half.
 
Findlay (2-0) opened the scoring in the 11th minute before doubling their lead in the 29th minute to head into halftime with a 2-0 advantage.
 
The Bald Eagles answered in the second half. Senior defender Owen Lichtenwalner converted a penalty kick in the 64th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1.
 
Findlay restored its two-goal lead in the 73rd minute which proved to be the final at 3-1.
 
Lock Haven generated six shots in each half. Kade Black led the Bald Eagles with four shots, including two on goal, while Noah Brady recorded five shots and two shots on target.
 
Ethan Beck made three saves in goal for The Haven. Findlay goalkeeper Ethan Hensley recorded four saves.

The Bald Eagles return home to Hubert Jack Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 4 p.m. to host Shepherd in a non-conference match.
