SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Lock Haven volleyball team soared to a 3-1 road victory over Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon, winning by set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 14-25, 25-21 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match.

With the victory, the Bald Eagles improved to 9-5 overall and 2-1 in the PSAC, while also snapping a 10-match losing streak against Shippensburg, dating back to 2021. Shippensburg falls to 9-6 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.

Payton Stanton paced the Bald Eagles' offense with a match-high 17 kills on a .393 hitting percentage, committing just six errors on 28 attempts. Madelyn Mitchell and
Gracelynn Wolzen added 10 kills apiece for Lock Haven.

Natalie Gibson orchestrated the offense with 48 assists, while
Olivia Taylor anchored the back row with a match-best 33 digs. Gibson also recorded 12 digs to post a double-double.
Maddy Fox added four kills off the bench for Lock Haven.

Lock Haven hit .205 as a team (57 kills, 24 errors, 161 attacks) and held Shippensburg to a .190 clip (48-18-158). The Bald Eagles also out-dug the Raiders, 82-66.

The first set featured five ties and three lead changes before Lock Haven pulled away for a 25-21 win. The Bald Eagles then survived a tight second set, edging Shippensburg 26-24 to take a 2-0 lead.

The Raiders responded in the third set to cruise to a 25-14 win and extend the match. Lock Haven regrouped in the fourth set, closing out the match with a 25-21 victory to secure the conference road win.
