ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Lock Haven volleyball team traveled to Rochester, N.Y. to compete on the final day of the Roberts Wesleyan Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 5. Lock Haven wrapped up a perfect 3-0 weekend with a pair of victories by sweep over Redeemer (Canada) and Georgian Court.
 
The Haven also defeated the host Roberts Wesleyan on Friday to secure a perfect 3-0 mark at the tournament, which improves The Haven's record to 4-3 on the year.
 
Lock Haven vs. Redeemer (Canada): W, 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-15)
Lock Haven received a balanced effort in its 3-0 sweep over Redeemer, led by Maddie Mitchell, who finished with a team-high 11 kills. Reagan Irons added nine kills, while Maddy Fox recorded eight kills to help pace the Bald Eagles' attack.
 
Natalie Gibson directed the offense with 34 assists, and Irons contributed two assists. Olivia Taylor led Lock Haven defensively with 15 digs, followed by Irons with 11 and Samantha Rouser with nine.
 
At the service line, Olivia Taylor recorded a team-best two aces, while Salma Villa Morales and Irons each added one. Fox and Payton Stanton led the blocking effort with two blocks apiece, while Irons added one.
 
Lock Haven vs. Georgian Court: W, 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-11)
Lock Haven put the exclamation point on the perfect weekend with another convincing sweep over Georgian Court.
 
Irons finished with 10 kills, while Gracelynn Wolzen added nine kills and Katelynn Olmstead finished with eight.
 
Gibson directed the Bald Eagles' attack with 26 assists, followed by Madelyn Wagner with three and Gabby Gealey with two. Olivia Taylor paced the defensive effort with 15 digs, while Irons and Morgan Johnson each recorded seven.
 
Demi Ross led Lock Haven at the service line with three aces, while Irons and Gibson added two apiece. Fox and Avery Smith each finished with two blocks, and Olmstead contributed one.

The Bald Eagles welcome Virginia State, Edinboro and Thomas Jefferson to town on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11-12 for the Lock Haven Tournament.
