Marrysa Moyer of the LHU women’s basketball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways / GoLHU.com Women’s Athlete of the Week.

Marrysa Moyer led the Lady Eagles to 2-0 last week with home wins against Kutztown (Wednesday, Februay 11) and Millersville (Saturday, February 14). Moyer averaged a double-double, netting 22 points and grabbing 22 rebounds overall.  Against Kutztown, Moyer recorded 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the thrilling, 59-58 win. On Saturday, Moyer netted eight points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. LHU downed Millersville, 63-59 at home in Thomas Fieldhouse.  The win marked the second meeting LHU has won against MU in the 2014-15 season. With both wins Lock Haven is in the playoff hunt in the Eastern Division.  The Lady Eagles currently sit in the sixth and final playoff spot, behind Kutztown who sits fifth. Lock Haven returns to action Wednesday, February 18th when LHU travels to Cheyney in conference play.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
