Rachel Valentine of the LHU field hockey team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways / GoLHU.com Women’s Athlete of the Week.

Valentine, also the A-10 Player of the Week and the conference's leading scorer added to her total, scoring a goal in each of Lock Haven's historic wins over the weekend. She added a key insurance goal in the 2-0 win over UMass (38'; 11th of season). On Sunday vs. perennial national power Penn State, Valentine scored the game's only goal in the 16th minute after a sensational individual effort. Lock Haven beat Penn State, 1-0 for their first win over the Nittany Lions in 30 years. Lock Haven's last win over PSU had come in 1985. Valentine leads the conference with 12 goals.
