Alex Monroe (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) of the LHU cross country team has been named the www.GoLHU.com Male Athlete of the Week.

Earlier this week, Monroe was named the PSAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

Monroe won his second straight individual PSAC title, leading the No. 13 Lock Haven University men's cross country team to a third-place team finish at the 2012 PSAC Championships.

Monroe cruised to his second straight conference title, covering the 8K course in 25:08. He won by nearly 11 full seconds.

The cross country team will all be back in action this weekend at the West Branch Cross Country Course in the Third annual Go fast River run.
