EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The No. 2 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (6-0, 3-0 PSAC) used a 12-goal second half explosion to move past host East Stroudsburg University (3-4, 1-2 PSAC) 17-6 today in PSAC action.

With the win the Lady Eagles remain perfect at 6-0 and today's conference win was highlighted by Kayleigh Johnson's (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) nine-assist effort.

Johnson's nine assists set a PSAC single-game record.

With 15:20 left in the opening half of play, the Lady Eagles found themselves trailing their hosts, who were fit for the upset 4-2.

Lock Haven responded however and closed out the first half with three straight tallies to take a 5-4 lead into the break.

Johnson recorded eight of her nine assists in the second half as LHU exploded for 12 goals in the second half.

The LHU defense stiffened as well in the second 30 minutes of play as The Haven only allowed two ESU goals.

Elyse Fisher (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) led LHU with a four-goal effort.

Gwen Buss (Harrisburg, Pa./Mercersburg Academy) added a hat trick in the win.

Allison Berger (Oreland, Pa./Springfield) had another solid outing. She set up four Haven goals and added one of her own.

The trio of Katie Zichelli (South Orange, N.J./Columbia), Katie McConnell (Cinnaminson, N.J./Holy Cross) and Clare Gaeng (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Jefferson) led LHU's defensive effort.

Zichelli had six ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Goalie Heather Sacko (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) made six saves.

The Lady Eagles are right back at it tomorrow when they take on Bloomsburg University at 1 p.m.
