LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (10-18-1) fell today on the road to Bucknell University (14-14) 10-3 in a single nine inning, non-conference contest.
After trailing 1-0 through the first five innings of play, the Bald Eagles scored all three of their runs in the sixth inning to take a 3-1 lead. The Bison would answer however, with four runs in the sixth and five runs in the seventh.
Jay Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley),
Cory Dorman (Mifflinburg, Pa./Alleghany College of Maryland) and
Jose Diaz (Oak Ridge, N.J./Gloucester County College) each had one hit for LHU.
The Haven used four different pitchers in the game, as
Matt Hendrixson (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley),
Kyle Schubert (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail),
Ryan Boyer (Tremont, Pa./Pine Grove) and
Corey Hepfer (Springfield, Pa./Penn State Brandywine) all logged innings.
The Bald Eagles are back in action this weekend when they kick off a huge series with Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West foe Mercyhurst. LHU will play at Mercyhurst Friday (April 6) and will host the Lakers on Saturday (April 7).
