Balanced scoring, pair of double-doubles lead Haven past SRU, 74-62

LHU beats The Rock for sixth consecutive time; Four Lady Eagles net double-figures as Haven returns to PSAC West play

Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Four Lady Eagles scored in double-figures and two pulled down a double-double to help lead the Lock Haven University women's basketball team past visiting Slippery Rock University, 74-62.

Lock Haven (6-8, 3-7 PSAC West) returned home and picked up its second straight conference win as The Haven knocked off Slippery Rock (4-10, 3-7 PSAC West) for the sixth straight time.

Marrysa Moyer (Altoona, Pa./Mansfield Univ.) dominated the boards, pulling down a game-high 14 rebounds, 12 of which came on the defensive side. She also scored 12 points, recording the first double-double of her Lady Eagle career.

Moyer was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. She added four assists, three steals and two blocks in all-around stellar outing.

J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) paced the Lock Haven scorers with a game-high 17 points. She was 7-for-11 from the field and 3-for-4 from the line.

Kelsey Ryan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) had another big night for Lock Haven and finished with a double-double. She had 12 points to go along with 10 rebounds.

Kacie Hershey (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara) was the fourth Lady Eagle in double-figures, finishing with 13 points. She also added six rebounds.

Sami Lane (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock) chipped in with nine points.

Lock Haven led, 35-28 at halftime and kept the pressure on during the second.

SRU had four players net double-figures, including D'Asia Chambers, who had 15.

Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, January 19 at 1 p.m. when the Lady Eagles host Edinboro
