Baseball drops two at Millersville

Lock Haven travels to local rival Mansfield tomorrow (Tuesday, April 1)

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (9-10, 1-5 PSAC East) dropped both games of a doubleheader today to Millersville (18-7, 5-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East action.

LHU fell in game one, 7-1 and the Bald Eagles dropped game two, 5-0.

Lock Haven scored its one run on seven hits in game one.

Ryan Koch (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) and Ethan Moore (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) led LHU with two hits each.

Madison Neddo (Earlville, Md./Coppin State Univ.) allowed six runs in the start.  He struck out two.

Austin Botts (Seven Valleys, Pa./Wingate Univ.), Gordon Barr (Johnstown, Pa./Westmoreland County C.C.) and Pierce Ranck (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) each had singles for LHU.

The Bald Eagles tallied six hits, but were unable to plate any runs in the game two loss.

Anthony Kyne (Newtown, Pa./Penn State Brandywine) went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double.

Tyler Yesensky (Endwell, N.Y./Old Dominion Univ.) was also 2-for-3 in game two.

Botts added a double in the loss.

Joe Nestor (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) threw all six innings for The Haven.  He allowed five runs on 11 hits and struck out five.

Three Millersville pitchers combined for the shutout, led by Brandon Miller, who struck out four in five innings of work.

Lock Haven is right back in action tomorrow (Tuesday, April 1) when the Bald Eagles travel to local rival Mansfield for a PSAC East doubleheader.  First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
