Women’s Track & Field competes at YSU Last Chance and Widener Indoor Classic

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Lock Haven women's track and field team kicked off a busy weekend by competing in Youngstown State University's Last Chance Meet and the Widener Indoor Classic on Friday (Feb. 13).
 
Running Highlights
Natalie Gentzel had the highest place finish of the day, finishing sixth with a time of 1:01.39 in the 400-meter dash.
 
Lillian Bradley had an impressive day, earning sixth and ninth place in the 200-meter (26.96) and 60-meter dashes (8.36), respectively.
 
Kelci Calre secured a ninth-place finish with a time of 10.53 in the 60-meter hurdles.
 
Jenna Smith, running in the mile run, came through at 5:34 and placed ninth.
 
Field Highlights at Widener Indoor Classic:
Clarissa Davis had another impressive week, earning eighth place in the shot put with a mark of 11.86 meters (38-11.00 ft).
 
Mallory Eck placed 12th in the shot put with a mark of 11.57 meters (37-11.50 ft)
 
Laurie Thompson threw a personal best in the weight throw with a mark of 13.21 meters (43-04.25 ft), which earned her 14th place.
 
Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles return to action tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 15) and will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to compete at the Widener Indoor Classic at University of Pennsylvania's Ott Center.
