MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team opened a scheduled three-game weekend series at No. 24 Millersville Friday (March 14) night under the lights at the Marauders' Cooper Park. Lock Haven led the contest in hits, but couldn't scratch away at a run and Millersville stole the game, 3-0.
The result pushed Lock Haven to 10-7, while Millersville improved to 11-3.
Friday's night game opened a three-game series with nationally-ranked Millersville, a perennial Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Atlantic Region and Division II power. It also provided a historic moment as it was the first night game at Millersville's Cooper Park.
The two teams will conclude the three-game series Saturday, March 15 with a doubleheader.

Leading the way for The Haven on offense was
Zachary McEllroy and
Jake Ambrosio, each collecting three hits.
Bryce Vincent (2B) and
Ethan Nagy also found the hit column.
Jason Labrador pitched a quality start, tossing six innings and allowed one earned run on five hits, while striking out three.
Will Stambaugh came in for relief and pitched two shutout innings and recorded three strikeouts of his own.
