The Lock Haven lacrosse team is set to open the 2026 season by hosting Bloomsburg at Charlotte Smith Field on Wednesday, Feb. 25, starting at 3 p.m.

Lock Haven was picked to make the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) postseason for the third straight season in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Haven was selected to finish third in the Western Division, behind Slippery Rock (5) and Seton Hill (1). SRU earned five-of-six first-place votes. Indiana (Pa.), Gannon and Edinboro round out the Western Division.
Behind a balanced attack and a breakout year from several key performers, the Bald Eagles capped the 2025 campaign at 9-8 overall and 6-4 in PSAC play, earning their second straight trip to the postseason.
Following the regular season, goalkeeper
Gretchen King was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Year, while attacker
Gabby Gunnip, midfielders
Nadia Baskot and
Kaitlyn Collins and defender
Mackenna Brown were named to the All-PSAC West Second Team. The Bald Eagles' four Second Team All-Conference selections were the most in the PSAC West.
Offensively, Lock Haven was paced by sophomore attacker Gunnip, who finished with team highs of 51 goals and 65 points, while
Makayla Kelly added 44 goals and 61 points to give The Haven a dynamic one-two punch.
In the center circle, Gunnip (52 draws) and Kelly (45) helped Lock Haven control possession, Defensively, Brown (35 ground balls, 28 caused turnovers),
Sam Hauck and
Sarah Osmun anchored a group that finished on the positive side of both ground balls and caused turnovers for the season.
In goal, King started 16 of 17 games and backstopped The Haven with 181 saves, a .493 save percentage and a 9-8 record across 915 minutes. She turned in several marquee efforts, including a 22-save performance against IUP. As a team, Lock Haven outscored opponents 205-196 and shot 43 percent on the year, highlighted by a 20-goal outing against Edinboro.

Lock Haven opens the season with three straight home games and will welcome Shippensburg to Charlotte Smith Field at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4.
