CLEVELAND – Lock Haven men's wrestling standout Wyatt Henson placed eighth at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Wrestling Championship in Cleveland and earned All-American honors.  
 
Henson, the No. 13 seed at 141 pounds, finished the weekend 4-3 and claimed All-American status for the first time in his career, becoming the 46^th Bald Eagle to do so in program history.
 
This morning, in a battle for seventh place, Henson was pinned (4:05) by University of Pennsylvania's No. 11 CJ Composto.
 
Henson opened the tournament strong, dominating No. 20 Julian Tagg (South Dakota State) with an 11-2 major decision. Henson then faced a tough second-round matchup against No. 4 Anthony Echemendia (Iowa State), falling by a 14-4 major decision.
 
Dropping into the consolation bracket, Henson bounced back with three straight wins, including an upset victory over No. 7 Nasir Bailey (Iowa), 6-4.
 
His run to third place came to an end in the consolation quarterfinals, where he dropped a 10-5 decision to No. 18 Carter Nogle (Air Force).
 
Henson concludes one of the finest careers in Lock Haven men's wrestling history, joining the prestigious 100-win club with 108 victories and finishing second all-time in technical falls with 44.
 
The Waynesburg, Pa. native is now an All-American, three-time Mid-American Conference (MAC) Individual Champion, 2024 MAC Tournament Most Outstanding Wrestler and three-time NCAA qualifier.
 
Henson's All-American run highlighted another successful postseason run for The Haven and closed the book on the 2025-26 season.
