DAY 1 RESULTS
 
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's outdoor track and field team opened the first of three days of competition at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Championships in Shippensburg, Pa., on Thursday (April 30).
 
Alyssa VanGorder found a spot on the podium with an eighth-place mark in the Hammer Throw.

VanGorder reached a mark of 152-7 (46.51m) on her sixth and final throw to give Lock Haven its first team points of the weekend.

Laurie Thompson finished 12^th in the event by reaching a mark of 141-2 (43.04m) and nearly made the finals.

The Lock Haven women's track and field team will continue competition at the PSAC Championships in Shippensburg, Pa., on Friday and Saturday (May 1- May 2).
