Alex Monroe, of the Lock Haven Men's Cross Country team, is this week’s www.golhu.com Male Athlete of the Week.

Alex Monroe placed fifth overall in the talented field of runners at the Paul Short Run this past weekend. He was named the PSAC Athlete of the Week on Monday for the third time this year for his efforts. The Lock Haven University men's cross country team remains at No. 2 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Atlantic Region weekly rankings.

Competing against 37 NCAA Division I teams, including three ranked among the top-20, the Bald Eagles beat three Division II nationally-ranked foes, including No. 12 American International, No. 13 Mount Olive and No. 21 Shippensburg.
