Troy Amspacher of the LHU men’s soccer team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways / GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Amspacher helped Lock Haven go 2-0 last week with both wins coming in PSAC action. His was credited with an assist on Wednesday vs. Shippensburg after setting up a huge goal in the 37th minute. Down 1-0 on the road, Amspacher set up the tying goal and Lock Haven went on to win in double-OT. On Saturday vs. rival East Stroudsburg, Amspacher netted a pair of goals, including the game-winner. In the 22nd minute he sent a bending free kick past the wall and off the post from 20 yards out to the tie the match at 1-1. In the 71s minute he again broke a tie and put LHU up 3-2 with a goal of a penalty kick. His second of the game proved to the game-winner as LHU went on to win 4-2.
