FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (7-7) was downed 2-1 in overtime today at Fairfield University (8-2) in non-conference action.

Leslie Ahern (Getzville, N.Y./Williamsville North), who scored a pair of goals yesterday in the win over Sacred Heart put LHU up 1-0 today late in the first half.

Her unassisted goal had LHU leading 1-0 at halftime.

With just over 10 minutes to play, Fairfield tied the match and sent it to overtime where the Stags found the game-winner.

Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco) made three saves for LHU.

Lock Haven is off until next Saturday, October 8 when the Lady Eagles return home to open Atlantic 10 play on Saturday vs. the University of Massachusetts.
