EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swim team won 10 of the 14 events contested today as the Lady Eagles cruised past host East Stroudsburg 159-101.
Lock Haven hit six Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks on the day.
Leading the way junior
Brittany Rehrig (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington), who hit three PSAC qualifying marks (100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle & 200 IM).
Rehrig also set two pool records.
She broke her own her own record in the 200 IM with a first-place time of 2:11.87.
Kasey Blesh (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy),
Shannon Milstead (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) and
Jenna Brooks (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) all hit PSAC marks as well today for LHU in the 1,000 freestyle, 200 butterfly and 100 butterfly respectively.
Freshman
Allie Muha (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) was second in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:04.26, which is a LHU all-time top-five time.
Blesh, the school record holder at the 1,000 freestyle won the event with a time of 10:59.15.
Lock Haven returns to action on Thursday, November 17 at the IUP Crimson Hawk Invitational. The three-day meet wraps up on Saturday, November 19.
