LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University baseball team (15-12, 6-6 PSAC West) swept Gannon University (11-15, 6-6 PSAC West) today at home in PSAC West action.

The Bald Eagles won the first game 5-4 and the bats exploded in game two was LHU cruised 10-0.

Tyler Golden (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) pitched a solid game-one for Lock Haven. He went 6.1 innings, while a sticking out nine batters.

The nine strikeouts ties a season-best for Golden.

Coming in to collect the save for the Bald Eagles was Andrew Simonik (Scott Township, Pa./Lakeland).

Leading the way at the plate for Lock Haven was Kevin Cressman (Huntingdon, Pa./Mansfield University). Cressman went 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Cody Young (Bellefonte, Pa/Bellefonte) went 2-for-4 with a RBI.

Corey Dorman (Mifflinburg, Pa./Alleghany College of Maryland) went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Lock Haven's bats came alive in the second game as The Haven rolled past Gannon 10-0.

Breaking out in game two was senior Matt McCamley (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola).

McCamley went 2-for-2 with two homeruns and three RBIs.

Continuing to have a good day was Dorman and Cressman.

Dorman went 2-for-2 for Lock Haven, while scoring two runs.

Cressman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Young went 2-for-4 with a RBI, while wrapping up a solid weekend at the plate for the Bald Eagles.

Getting the start on the mound in game two was Simonik.

Simonik, who picked up a two-out save in game one, went a solid five innings in the nightcap.

Simonik gave up just two hits and struck out three.

Tyler Rumsey (Mansfield, Pa./Mansfield) came in as relief for Lock Haven, throwing the final 2 innings. Rumsey struck out two.

Lock Haven is back in action Tuesday, April 5 as they travel to East Stroudsburg to play a doubleheader against the Warriors. The first game starts at 1 p.m.
