MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swim team was impressive today as the Lady Eagles hit the pool for the first time since their Winter Training trip to California and The Haven came away with a huge 121-84 win over Millersville University.
With the win, Lock Haven remained perfect in dual meets on the season with a 5-0 mark.
Kasey Blesh (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) and
Allie Muha (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) went 1-2 in the 500-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle races, which provided key team points for Lock Haven.
Brittany Rehrig (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) took first overall in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.45.
The Lady Eagles other winners were Sam Durham (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) and
Kayla Schnars (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte).
Durham won the 100-yard freestyle (55.49) and Schnars won the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.86).
LHU also had a big day in the relay events.
After opening the afternoon with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, the Lady Eagles went 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle relay to close out the meet.
Lock Haven will now gear up for a busy weekend in The Haven. The Lady Eagles will host Juniata College on Friday, January 20 at 6 p.m. before hosting Kutztown University on Saturday, January 21 at 1 p.m.
