Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Brandon Brader (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) rushed for a pair of touchdowns, but the Lock Haven University football team dropped its home-opener to Edinboro University, 35-19 today at Hubert Jack Stadium.

Today's 2012 home-opener also marked “Community Day” at The Haven.

Brader rushed for a pair of first half touchdowns and Lock Haven (0-4, 0-2 PSAC West) trailed 27-13 at halftime.

Edinboro (1-2, 1-1 PSAC West) used a 14 point third quarter to pull away in the thrilling PSAC West matchup.

Edinboro went up 7-0 less than three minutes into the game after quarterback Cody Harris's two-yard run capped off a four-play drive that started on Lock Haven's 16-yard line.

With 6:42 left in the opening quarter, Brader put LHU on the board and tied the game at 7-7. Brader's first career touchdown, capped off a 14-play, 80-yard drive.

Brader was at it again and early in the second quarter he gave Lock Haven its first lead of the 2012 season. Brader's second touchdown of the game came with 12:49 left in the half and his six-yard dash to the end zone, capped off a seven-play, 70-yard drive.

Lock Haven's second touchdown was aided by a pair of big plays. Facing fourth-and-10, on the Edinboro 17-yard line, LHU faked the field goal and holder Josh Livelsberger ran 11 yards for a first down.

Earlier in the drive, quarterback Jarrett Kratzer (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) connected with James Wilbern (Steelton, Pa./Steelton Heights) on a 47-yard pass play.

The touchdown put LHU up 13-7 after the extra point attempt was no good.

The Fighting Scots scored a pair of touchdowns in the last 3:23 of the first half to take the 21-13 halftime lead.

A 14-point third quarter had Edinboro starting to pull away, but with 2:59 left in the game LHU continued to fight back and capped off the scoring after Kratzer scored on a four-yard fun.

Brader finished the game with 38 yards on 23 carries and the two scores.

Matthew Gibson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) added 38 yards on the ground as well.

Kratzer passed for 172 yards and hit 10 different players for catches.

Tight end Keith Dockery Philadelphia/Cardinal Dougherty) made four catches for 42 yards, while Wilbern finished with 75 yards on three catches.

Defensively, LHU was led by James Goins (Marion Heights, Pa./Mount Carmel), who made a game-high 11 tackles. He had 10 solo stops.

Matt Kirchner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) added seven tackles.

LHU returns to action next Saturday, September 29 when the Bald Eagles host Shippensburg at noon.

-After being shutout during the first three games of the season, LHU scored 19 points today.
