Lady Eagles take down Robert Morris 3-2 in OT; LHU tallies three unanswered goals to secure win

KENT, Ohio –
For the second time in three games, the Lock Haven University field hockey team (3-2) needed overtime to pick up a win, but the Lady Eagles will take it as they knocked off Robert Morris (3-3) 3-2 in overtime today in non-conference action at Kent State.

The Lady Eagles scored three unanswered goals, including the game-winner, just 4:42 into overtime to knock off their former Northeast Conference (NEC) foe.

RMU led 2-0 at halftime, but LHU took over the game in the second half.

Taylor Kennedy (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Township) scored in the 54th minute and Stephanie Ebersole (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) tied the match at 2-2 in the 67th minute of play.

Kelly Harsh (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) gave Lock Haven the win after converting a penalty corner attempt less than five minutes into the overtime period.

Nakira Downes (Bridgetown, Barbados/The Combermere School) had three assists on the day.

LHU goalie Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco) made six saves in the win.

Lock Haven takes on Kent State tomorrow (Sunday, September 9) at noon.
