ORANGE, Calif. – Brittany Rehrig (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) picked up three individual wins to lead the way for the Lock Haven University swim team as they Lady Eagles took on Chapman and Soka University in Orange, California yesterday (Friday, January 11).
Rehrig won the 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle to pace The Haven's effort.
Rehrig's three wins helped Lock Haven beat Soka, 161-26, but The Haven fell to host-Chapman, 115-87 in a tight battle.
Rehrig led a 1-2 Haven finish in the 200-yard butterfly as she won with a time of 2:17.23, finishing just ahead of teammate
Allie Muha (Millersville, Md./Severna Park), who clocked a 2:17.77.
Kristin Taylor (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) took home the win in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:34.35.
Lock Haven opened the meet with a win the 400-yard medley relay (4:22.78).
Muha added a second-place finish in the 200-yard IM (2:23.86) and
Carley Nitchie (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) was second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.20.

Joel Blesh was pleased with Lock Haven's effort and impressed with the toughness the team is showing during some of their hardest training of the year.
The Lady Eagles return to action on Friday, January 18 at home vs. Juniata (6 p.m.).
