Lady Eagles win 7 of 11 events, cruise past Juniata, 117.5 – 82.5

Haven goes 1-2 in three different individual events

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.  – The Lock Haven University swim team won seven of 11 events tonight as the Lady Eagles cruised past Juniata College, 117.5-82.5.

With the win, Lock Haven improves to 4-2 in dual meets this season.

Brittany Rehrig (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) picked up a pair of individual wins and the Lady Eagles went 1-2 in individual races on three separate occasions tonight.

Rehrig won back-to-back events as she posted victories in the 100-yard freestyle (55.76) and 100-yard backstroke (1:01.87, PSAC).

Rehrig led a 1-2 Haven finish in the 100-back as Kayla Schnars (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte) was second with a time of 1:03.20.

Shannon Milstead (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) and Kristen Capretti (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) went 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 2:03.50 and 2:05.33, respectively.

Carley Nitchie (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Aiar) and Laura Stephens (West Chester, Pa./Univ. of Vermont) were first and second in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 25.81 and 26.01, respectively.

Alie Muha (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) also picked up win for Lock Haven after took first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:42.92.

The Lady Eagles won both relays tonight on the way to the dominate victory.

LHU head coach Joel Blesh was very pleased with team's effort nothing they beat a tough-Juniata team tonight.

Blesh also took a moment to credit the large crowd on hand tonight.

Lock Haven wastes no time in getting back into the pool. The Lady Eagles travel to Kutztown University tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 19) for a 1 p.m. meet.
