CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swim team went 2-1 at the Vulcan Dual Meet Challenge Invite, hosted by California (Pa.) University.
Lock Haven (6-4) picked up wins over Mansfield and Chatham, but lost to host-Cal. The Lady Eagles were second overall in the invite-scoring format.
The Lady Eagles opened the two-day meet with a 76-41 win over Mansfield last night (Friday, Jan. 25). Lock Haven won six-of-seven events in the win over the Mountaineers including the 200-yard free relay (1:44.87).
Today (Saturday, Jan. 26), Lock Haven beat Chatham, 90-33 in session II, but fell to host-Cal in session III, 84-51.

Allie Muha (Millersville, Md./Severna Park),
Kristin Taylor (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York),
Kayla Schnars (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte),
Kaitlyn Druby (Palmyra, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) and
Brittany Rehrig (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) all picked up individual wins for Lock Haven in the win over Mansfield.
Muha won the 1,000-yard free (11:17.74), Taylor won the 200-IM (2:22.94), Schnars won the 50-backstroke (29.17), Druby won the 100-breaststroke (1:13.18) and Rehrig took first in the 200-butterfly (2:18.79).
Rehrig was on fire in the pool today, taking home first-place on three separate occasions. She won the 100-backstroke (1:02.06), 50-butterfly (26.75) and 100-IM (1:00.87).
Taylor took home victory in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.02.
The Lady Eagles also won the 400-yard medley relay today with a time of 4:13.28.
Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, February 2 at noon when the Lady Eagles host the Haven Invite. The Haven Invite is Lock Haven's final meet before the 2013 PSAC Championships.
