Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey scored three goals in the opening 11 minutes and the Lady Eagles completely dominated Georgetown on the way a 5-0 shutout.
Lock Haven (3-1) won its third straight game and outshot winless Georgetown (0-4) 19-5 on the way to the non-conference win.
LHU jumped on the Hoyas early.
Steph Ebersole (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) scored her second goal in as many games to put Lock Haven up 1-0 just 1:27 into the game. Just over a minute later it was 2-0 after
Kelly Harsh (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) knocked in a rebound.
Nakira Downes (Bridgetown, Barbados/The Combermere School) scored her first goal of the season in the 11th minute to make it 3-0 and
Rachel Valentine's (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) first goal of the year made it 4-0 at halftime.
Harsh scored her second goal of the game in the 52nd minute when she converted on a penalty stroke.
Three different players registered assists for LHU, including
Taylor Kennedy (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Township),
Brittney Hickernell (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and
Brittany Predmore (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township).

Elaina White (Etters, Pa./Red Land) only needed to turn away two shots as Lock Haven's defense was too much for the Hoyas throughout. Freshman
Rebekah Hershey (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) was the leader on defense today as LHU limited Georgetown to only five shots on the way to the second shutout-victory of the season.
Lock Haven hosts No. 6 Penn State on Wednesday, September 11 night at 7 p.m.
