LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swimming team is set to open the 2014-15 season on Saturday, November 18 at 1 p.m. vs. East Stroudsburg University in dual-meet action.

Joel Blesh, couldn't be more excited about the start of the season.

"I am very excited to get the competition season started," said Blesh. Â "Our team has worked very hard in-and-out of the water since the beginning of the semester, and it's time to see the hard work pay off with some great early-season racing."

What you need to know.Â
- Breaking down the Lady Eagles - seven freshmen, four sophomores, three juniors and four seniors.

- The four seniors are
Erin Kury,
Abby Miller,
Allie Muha and
Carley Nitchie.

- Lock Haven's 18 swimmers hail from four different states including Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Michigan.

- LHU returns three PSAC qualifiers from last year –
Allie Muha,
Carley Nitchie and
Danielle Parowski.

- Parowski leads the way – in just her first season with the Lady Eagles, Parowski rewrote the Lady Eagle record books last season. She qualified for five individual events at the PSAC Championships and set four school records (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 1,000 freestyle & 1,650 freestyle).

- Lock Haven opens the season with three straight home duals.

- In all, LHU will swim at home four times this season.
