LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University swim team opened the season with a, 169-81 loss to visiting East Stroudsburg today at Zimmerli Pool.

Danielle Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Univ. of Pitt) and senior
Carley Nitchie (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) led the Lady Ealges with PSAC qualifying marks.

Parowski won the 200 Free with a 2:00.60 PSAC qualifying mark.Â

Nitchie added a PSAC qualifying mark in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 25.76.Â

Freshman
Kali Hartt (Bay City, Mich./John Glenn) swam well in her debut with the Lady Eagles placing second in the 200 Backstroke (2:22.11).Â

Parowski and Nitchie were joined by Hartt and
Abby Miller (Levittown, Pa./Neshamin) in the 200 Freestyle Relay. The Lady Eagles placed first with a time of 1:45.51.Â

Joel Blesh commented on the race saying, "There were a lot of positives from today and we're looking forward to a great meet next Saturday for Homecoming."Â
