LOCK HAVEN, PA. – The Lock Haven University swim team (1-1) downed visiting Mansfield University (3-2), 119-76 at home today for its first win of the 2014-25 season.

The Lady Eagles turned in a strong outing in the meet against Mansfield, earning 119 points through 11 events.

Allie Muha (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) and
Emily Shultz (Lock Haven, Pa./Stony Brook) led The Haven charge today as Muha dug deep to win the 1000 Freestyle with a mark of 11:40.63.

Danielle Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Univ. of Pittsburgh) placed first in the 200 freestyle in her first race of the day, finishing with a time of 2:00.61.Â

Carley Nitchie (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) placed first in the 50 freestyle (25.89) and returned to the pool alongside
Abby Miller to dominate the 100 freestyle. Miller placed first with a mark of 58.63 and Nitchie was right behind her hitting the wall in 59.15.Â

Freshmen
Kali Hartt (Bay City, Mich./John Glenn) and
Jacquelyn Bingham (West Chester, Pa./West Chester) turned in strong times finishing first in their respected events. Bingham swam of time of 2:22.96 in the 200 IM and Hartt finished first in the 100 backstroke (1:04.38).Â

Parowski returned to the pool for the 500 freestyle and placed first with a time of 5:34.86.

Coach Blesh is proud of his team and their performances in the pool. Shultz fought hard to race to the wall, battling an injury through both events and still finishing in first.

The Lady Eagles return to action Saturday, November 8 (1 pm) when LHU hosts visiting Millersville at Zimmerli Pool.
