EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Danielle Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Pitt) won a pair of events, taking home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks in both to highlight a strong night for the Lock Haven University swimming team at East Stroudsburg.
Parowski won the 200 and 500-yard freestyle evens with times of 2:01.45 and 5:25.26, respectively, both of which were PSAC Championship qualifying marks.
Nicole Martellotti (Pittsburgh/Obama-Academy) hit a PSAC mark in the 100-yard backstroke for the second weekend in a row. Last weekend at Colgate, she clocked a 1:02.59 and improved on that tonight with a time of 1:01.58, good enough for second overall.
Taylor Andress (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) turned in a solid outing in the 1,000-yard freestyle, finishing second overall with a time of 12:23.61.
Janel Llewellyn (Dingmans Ferry, Pa./Delaware Valley) rounded out a strong showing for the Bald Eagles with a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.69).
Tomorrow (Saturday, October 17), Lock Haven hosts the Crimson & White Open at 11 a.m.
