CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (7-10-1, 6-5 PSAC) fell to host California (Pa.) University (9-6-1, 5-4-1 PSAC), 5-1 today in the Bald Eagles' final regular season match of the 2015 season.
Despite the loss, the Bald Eagles are headed back to the postseason and have earned the sixth-seed for the upcoming Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament. LHU will travel to No. 3 seed Bloomsburg Tuesday (November 3) for a First Round match.
California led 2-1 at halftime today and the Vulcans scored three second-half goals to pull away for the Bald Eagles. Nick Cichon scored twice for Cal.
Tyler Sablyak (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) scored for Lock Haven in the 44
th minute and goalkeeper
Troy Teresak (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) made nine saves.
