OT for the first time in a long time:
When LHU and Bloomsburg went to overtime last Saturday (Nov. 7, Week 10), it marked Lock Haven's first OT game since the 2007 season finale, that LHU won at Clarion.

Winning ways:
LHU entered week 10 having won two of its previous three games.  The Bald Eagles defeated Cheyney on Homecoming in Week 7 and followed that up with a last-second win at Millersville in Week 8.  The Bald Eagles fell to Kutztown in a hard fought battle in Week 9. LHU was looking for its third straight win, something the Bald Eagles haven't done since starting the 1981 season at 4-0.

Walton does it again:
Last week at Bloomsburg Walton threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 24 of 43 passes. Entering the game, Walton needed just one TD pass to break the all-time single-season record for touchdown passes. He now has 21 on the season. It marked Walton's 14th career game with 200-plus passing yards and his third career game over 300. His 312 passing yards pushed him over 2,000 for the second the consecutive season and surpass his career-mark of 2,164 set last season. Walton's 2,219 yards are the fourth-most in school history for a single season. Walton threw TD-passes to three different players including Shawn Seif, Del'Vaughn Dennis and Dan Krupko.

Harris goes over 200 twice:
In Week 8 (Saturday, Oct. 24) junior running back Malyk Harris made his first career start and rushed for 200 yards on 28 carries. Two of his 28 carries went for TDs. The very next week (Week 9, October 31) vs. Kutztown, Harris rushed for 224 yards on 24 carries.

No punting:
In the Week 7 (October 17) win over Cheyney, the Bald Eagles didn't have to punt at all. It marked the second straight game vs. Cheyney where LHU didn't need to punt. Last season, LHU shutout the Wolves, 28-0.

Last second heroics:
Lock Haven topped Millersville (Week 8) thanks to some last second heroics that saw the Bald Eagles score 12 points in the final two seconds of the game. Facing a 3rd and 10 from the Millersville 11, third-string QB Cameron Tobias threw a TD pass to TE Del'Vaughn Dennis, who hauled in the deflected pass – tip-toeing to get his feet down for the go-ahead TD. The Bald Eagles returned the ensuing kick as well for a TD.

PSAC Offensive Player of the Week (Week 7):
On Sunday, October 18, redshirt-junior quarterback Caleb Walton was named the PSAC East Offensive Player of the Week. For the second straight week, Walton put up monster numbers, accounting for five total touchdowns, all while helping the Bald Eagles to their first win of the 2015 season. In Saturday's 56-20 win over Cheyney Walton threw for 342 yards and matched his career-high with four TD passes. He was 18 of 24 with no interceptions. Walton also rushed for one touchdown.Walton's four TD passes added to his career total, which is already second-best in school history at 41. His 342 yards passing also pushed him into second all-time with 5,013 passing yards.

Several Bald Eagles put up video game numbers at Shippensburg (Week 6, October 10)
  • Caleb Walton's 370 passing yards were a new career high and marked the first time in his career he threw for over 300.
  • It was Lock Haven's first 300-yard plus passing game since 2004 (Tim Storino vs. Mansfield, 318 yards).
  • Dan Krupko had his breakout game (11 catches, 214 yards & 3 TDs).
  • It marked the first 200-yard plus receiver for LHU since 1995 (Bryan McGinty had 247 receiving yards – school record).
  • Rahjeir Miles-Eubanks 18 tackles were the fourth-most ever recorded in a single game.

PSAC Defensive Player of the Week (Week 6):
On Sunday, October 11, junior defensive back Rahjeir Miles-Eubanks was named the PSAC East Defensive Player of the Week. Miles-Eubanks had a historic outing for Lock Haven at Shippensburg as he continued to put up monster numbers on the defensive side of the ball for the Bald Eagles. He finished with a game and career-high 18 tackles at Shippensburg. Of his 18 stops, 14 were solo tackles and he recorded one tackle for a loss. The 18 tackles are the fourth-most ever recorded by a Lock Haven player in a single game. On the season, Miles-Eubanks has a team-high 64 tackles. His 64 total tackles and 10.7 stops per game are the third-most in the PSAC this year. Miles-Eubanks' 41 solo stops are the second-most in the league.

Walton moving up in the record books:
Redshirt-junior QB Caleb Walton's success under center is no longer a secret after he led Lock Haven's offense for the second straight season last year. Last season he threw for 2,164 yards and 15 TDs. He became the first Bald Eagle quarterback since 1995 to throw for over 2,000 yards in a season. It's just the seventh time in school history where a Lock Haven quarterback has surpassed the 2,000-yard passing mark in a single season.

New Era:
The loss to Clarion in the 2015 opener spoiled Dave Taynor's Bald Eagle debut.

Taynor was hired as the 24th head football coach in school history in April (2015). Taynor comes to LHU after seven seasons at his alma mater – Urbana. Under his guidance, the Blue Knights enjoyed the five most successful seasons in school history from 2009-2013 and he's the winningest coach in the school's history. Known for his offensive mind and high-flying attack, Taynor's Urbana teams broke over 50 offensive school records from 2008-2014.

The Week 7 win over Cheyney on Homecoming marked Dave Taynor's first win at Lock Haven.

Taynor at LHU (2-8)

Defense a strength:
Last year marked Randi Moore's first season as the Bald Eagles' defensive coordinator and he made an immediate impact as Lock Haven's defense was key all year long. LHU forced at least one turnover in all, but one game last season. LHU ranked seventh in the PSAC in interceptions (11) and eighth in total pass defense. The Bald Eagles return four of their top-five tacklers from last season, including Daniel Strawbridge (CB) and Tony Ballon (LB).

Experienced O-Line:
What was a young offensive line in 2014 is now an experienced one as the Bald Eagles will be aided by all five starting offensive linemen returning for this season. Leading the way is senior-center Luke Erdman, who has 30 career starts under his belt entering the season – the fifth-most among all active PSAC players. In all Luke Erdman (11), Austin Heinbaugh (10), Shane Rafter (9), Nick Mayer (8) Chris Bonk (7) and Ryan Fink (5) combined for 50 starts a year ago on the offensive line.

Making The East home:
The 2015 season marks Lock Haven's third in the PSAC East. LHU enters the 2015 season 4-10 vs. PSAC East opponents in its first two seasons in Eastern Division play.

Moving forward:
Since Lock Haven won the 2012 season-finale vs. Cheyney – a win that snapped a 52-game losing streak - LHU has gone 5-17. LHU was 2-9 last season and 3-8 in 2013.
