LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (5-9, 4-9 PSAC) looked poised for a huge upset this afternoon at home, but despite a strong effort from the Bald Eagles, No. 3 West Chester 14-0, 14-0 PSAC) remained unbeaten, thanks to a 2-0 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) victory.
Throughout most of the first half LHU had possession and some attacks that looked very promising. The Bald Eagles did not back down all game and fell just short of the upset bid.
Bree Hilty (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) had a tremendous game by deterring eight different shots by the Golden Rams.
Maddy Novak (Manheim,Pa./Manheim Central) had a strong opportunity to score that forced a save by the West Chester goalkeeper.
LHU returns to action on Saturday, October 22 at 12p.m. at Slippery Rock University.
