ERIE, Pa. – Despite an 11-8 advantage in shots and a 4-3 advantage in corners the Lock Haven University men's soccer team (6-7-3, 3-6-1 PSAC) couldn't find the back of the net the Bald Eagles were edged 1-0 at Gannon University (9-6-1, 7-2-1 PSAC) in an important Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match.
The host Golden Knights scored the game's only goal in the 69
th minute as Luis Driemel cracked the scoresheet in what proved to be the night's difference maker.
For Lock Haven
Andrew Moore (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) played well at both ends of the field. He steadied a strong defensive effort from the back, but also led the Bald Eagles with three shots. Goalkeeper
Troy Teresak (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) made one save to keep LHU in the match.
Lock Haven will return to the pitch for a non-conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. on the road at Roberts Wesleyan College.
