Setting the stage:
The LHU field hockey team will close the 2017 season this weekend with a pair of road games.
Lock Haven will open the weekend on Friday, Oct. 27 at Rider at 4:30 p.m. The two former Northeast Conference (NEC) rivals last met in 2015 – in Lock Haven – and LHU won 2-1 in double-overtime. The Bald Eagles are 10-4 all-time vs. Rider.
On Sunday, Oct. 29, LHU will cap the 2017 season with an Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) game vs. Saint Francis at 2 p.m. The Red Flash won 2-1 last season, but LHU is 11-5 all-time vs. Saint Francis.

On Sunday (Oct. 22) vs. Bucknell - prior to the start of the match - the Bald Eagles honored their two seniors -
Paige Stuppy and
Michele Enck – for their many contributions to the program over their remarkable careers.
Hall of Fame:
On Wednesday, September 20, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its 2017 Hall of Fame Class and LHU head coach
Pat Rudy was part of the class. Former Bryn Mawr head coach Jenepher Shillingford and former Walpole (Mass.) head coach Penny Calf join Rudy as 2017 honorees. Rudy entered the 2017 season with 583 career wins.
