MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swimming team traveled to Millersville University to take on Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival Millersville and Cedar Crest College in tri-meet action. LHU went 1-1 as they dropped the head to head with Millersville 163-86 but were able to get the win against Cedar Crest 166-56.
 
The Bald Eagles were led by Raechel Rodriguez (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) as she was able to capture 1^st place in the 200-yard breaststroke, the 50-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard Individual Medley. 
 
Kristin Allen (Willow Street, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) also had a strong showing for LHU as she was able to finish 1^st in the 200-yard butterfly.
 
Carly Ray (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./James M. Coughlin) was solid in the freestyle events, finishing 2^nd in the 50-yard freestyle and 3^rd in the 100-yard freestyle.
 
Steph Parker (Berwich, Pa./Berwick) and Theresa Dempsey (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively in the 200-yard freestyle.
 
The group of Allen, Rodriguez, Jackie Bingham (West Chester, Pa./West Chester) and Ray placed 3^rd in the 400 yard medley relay.
 
Up next:
Next weekend, the team will travel to Meadeville, Pa. to compete in the Allegheny College Gator Invite.  The meet is set to begin Friday, November 10^th at 6 pm. The meet will then continue Saturday, November 11^th beginning at 11 am.
