WINTER PARK, Fla. – The No. 25 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (3-1) saw offensive standout
Hayley Kilian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) post a five-point game, but it wasn't enough to fuel the Bald Eagles upset-bid as No. 11 and host Rollins College (6-2) used a late surge to down LHU, 16-9.
The two teams combined for 15 first-half goals as Rollins led by one at the break, 8-7. Lock Haven got off to a quick start in the second half and led 9-8, but the hosts scored the final eight goals of the contest on the way to their win.
Kilian directed the offense with a goal and four assists.
Alex O'Herrick (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) had another strong outing as well, finishing with a goal, assist, two ground balls and five draw controls.
Katie Costanza (Denver, Pa./Cocalico),
Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) and
Karli Gilbert (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown) all scored twice for LHU.
Defensively, the Bald Eagles were credited with seven caused turnovers and
Lauren Marte (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) made six saves.

LHU will remain in the Sunshine State for a second game as the Bald Eagles are scheduled to play Embry-Riddle (Fla.) in Daytona Beach, Florida on Wednesday (March 14) at 1 p.m.
