LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swimming team (1-3) turned in another strong effort today as the Bald Eagles hosted East Stroudsburg University (2-2) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) dual meet action.

The visiting Warriors picked up a 155-93 victory despite a number of solid individual "Haven" efforts.

Today's meet marked the final home dual of the 2019-20 season for Lock Haven and the Bald Eagles took time to honor standout senior Kristin Allen (Willow Street, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) for her many contributions, both in and out of the water, to the program.

Allen was one of several Bald Eagles who stood out today. Lauren Mummert (York, Pa./Northeastern) and Mikaela Clemson (Albury, Austrailia/Albury) had notable meets as well for Lock Haven.

Allen celebrated Senior Day with a win in the 200-yard butterfly (2:23.82). She bested second place by nearly 10 seconds.

Mummert was within striking distance of a PSAC Championship qualifying mark in the 1,650-yard freestyle event. She was second overall with a time of 19:40.39. Clemson rounded out the headlining efforts by recording a personal-best in the 200-yard freestyle. She was second with a mark of 2:04.77.

"The swimmers raced well in the longer events today," first-year head coach Brian Hein said. "This being our last dual meet before our mid-season meet, it was important for the swimmers to 'feel' the longer distance swims.  The swimmers are 'holding" much better in races now compared to earlier in the season. We are excited to see them race at the Wooster Invitational."

Clemson was second in the 100-yard free with a time of 58.99 and Abagail Monaghan (Langhorn, Pa./Notre Dame H.S.) was fourth (1:00.11).

Allen and Madison Griffin (Douglasville, Pa./Daniel Boone) added a 2-3 finish in the 200-yard backstroke with times of 2:23.10 and 2:29.98, respectively. Lily Arledge (Richwood, Ohio/River Valley) and KaceyMarie Berardinelli (Boothwyn, Pa./Archbishop John Carrol) went 2-3 in the 200-yard breaststroke with times of 2:45.12 and 2:57.45, respectively.

Lauren Mummert (York, Pa./Northeastern) and Kandace Loup (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) finished second and third in the 500-yard freestyle, while Mummert and Griffin went 2-3 in the 400-yard IM.

Allen was second in the 100-yard butterfly, rounding out an all-around solid day of action for LHU's only senior in the lineup.

Today's meet marked Lock Haven's fourth straight dual, the third of which has come at home in Zimmerli Pool. Last weekend, LHU hosted California (Pa.) and back on October 26, Lock Haven entertained Kutztown.

The Bald Eagles will return to action on Thursday, December 5 at the Wooster Invitational. The three-day meet runs from December 5-7.
