CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swimming team traveled to California (Pa.) University on Saturday (Nov. 6) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) dual meet. The Bald Eagles had numerous strong individual performances, but fell to the Vulcans in the team score, 134-93.

Lauren Mummert (York, Pa./Northeastern) secured another win this season, with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:08.72. Later in the meet, Mummert picked up her second win of the day in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:28.45.

In the 50-yard butterfly,
Sol Asparria (Lima, Peru/Saint Mark's College),
Loana Herrera-Tapia (Elmont, N.Y./Sewanhaka), and
Espefani Soto (Hazelton, Pa./Hazelton Area) swept the top three spots for the Bald Eagles with times of 29.42, 31.66 and 34.01, respectively.

Madison Griffin (Douglasville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and
Sara Bobb (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) claimed the top-two spots in the 500-yard freestyle in another strong race for LHU. Griffin took the victory with a time of 5:59.46, while Bobb finished with a time of 6:52.50.

The Bald Eagles finished off the day with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The combined team of Asparria, Griffin, Soto, and
Kacey Berardinelli (Boothwyn, Pa./Archbishop John Carrol) finished with a time of 1:49.37.

Next Up:
The Bald Eagles head to East Stroudsburg in its next outing on Saturday, November 20. That meet is set for a 1:00 p.m. start.
