Women’s Swimming set for PSAC dual at Millersville

The Bald Eagles return to the pool on Thursday and will travel to Millersville to compete in a PSAC dual meet.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven women's swimming team will travel to Millersville University to compete in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) at 2 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 14).

2023-24 NCAA & PSAC QUALIFYING STADARDS
 
Sydney Houck: 200-yard breaststroke (2:35.42), 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.58)
Alaina Craig: 100-yard freestyle (55.81), 100-yard butterfly (1:00.79)
Holly Cleworth: 200-yard backstroke (2:08.36), 100-yard backstroke (58.28), 200-yard freestyle (2:01.54), 500-yard freestyle (5:28.02)
Emma Pequignot: 200-yard butterfly (2:12.3), 200-yard IM (2:18.11)
 
The Haven is off to its best start in six seasons entering the week with a 2-2 record in dual meets.
 
Millersville is 2-1 in dual meets this season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Lock Haven women's swimming team returned for the final day of the Wooster Invite on Saturday (Dec. 2) and wrapped up an impressive week inside the Ellen Shapiro Natatorium.
 
The Bald Eagles return home with multiple PSAC qualifiers after an impressive weekend that featured personal and season-bests swims by every athlete.
 
Sydney Houck continued her impressive weekend with another PSAC qualifying race in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing the prelim with a time of 2:35.53, before swimming a 2:35.42 in the final.
 
Alaina Cane swam a PSAC qualifying time in the 100-yard freestyle with a personal-best swim of 56.05. She returned for the finals, placing 14th with a swim of 55.81.
 
Holly Cleworth started off her day by reaching the 200-backstroke final with a personal-best time of 2:12.48 (PSAC time), securing the fifth seed. Cleworth would finish fourth in the final with a time of 2:08.36.
 
Emma Pequignot made the finals in the 200-yard butterfly with her PSAC qualifying time of 2:16.22, before swimming a 2:17.62 in the finals to place third.
 
WOMEN'S SWIMMING ANNOUNCES LESSONS AND CLINICS
Bald Eagle swimming lessons and clinics for youth, high school, adult and triathletes beginning Nov. 19 and running through April 22.
 
The theme is learn-to-swim through advanced competition levels.
 
The lessons will consist of one-on-one, small group, and mini clinics and all proceeds will benefit the Lock Haven women's swimming program.
