LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Gavin Troutman (Boyertown, Pa./Oley Valley) of the Lock Haven baseball team has earned 2023 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) honors. Â
Troutman, a senior shortstop, was named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team as an infielder. Â
The Bald Eagle made 40 starts for The Haven during the 2023 season and hit an impressive .313 with 50 total hits (50-for-160). Â
Troutman had six home runs, three doubles and a triple. He was also a remarkable 15-for-16 on stolen-base attempts. The 15 stolen bases are tied for the fourth-most ever in a single-season. Â
He recorded 20 RBIs, a slugging-percentage of .456 and an on-base percentage of .390. At shortstop, he stood out with a .950 fielding percentage. Â
Troutman's leadership and stellar play helped guide the Bald Eagles to a 20-win season, Lock Haven's first 20-win season since 2018. Â
