RICHMOND, Va. – The Lock Haven field hockey team fell on the road in Atlantic-10 (A-10) action, 4-0, to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) on Friday afternoon (Sept. 27).

Kelsey Felix made a career-high 18 saves. Felix's single-game save total of 18 is the most in a game by a Bald Eagle keeper since 2003.
The 18 saves are the most by any Atlantic 10 Conference goalie since the 2015 season when Saint Louis' Tori Westhead also recorded 18 saves.
Led by 13 saves by Felix, the Bald Eagles held VCU off the scoreboard in the first half. However, the Rams scored four-unanswered in the second half to clinch the conference victory.
The Lock Haven defense held off the Rams explosive offensive attack for 35 minutes of action. VCU led the contest with 29 shots, including 23 on goal. The Rams also forced a game-high 14 penalty corners.
Alyssa Endrick finished with a team-high two shots, while
Deana Campbell and
Gracyn Catalano each recorded a shot on goal.
Lock Haven moves to 2-7 overall and 1-1 in the A-10, while VCU improves to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in conference.
