LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's swimming team opened its 2025-26 season with a pair of meets inside Zimmerli Pool by hosting Pitt-Johnstown on Friday (Oct. 17) and East Stroudsburg on Saturday (Oct. 18) on Homecoming Weekend.
It was a jammed-packed weekend for the women's swimming team who kicked off its 2025 campaign with a pair of impressive meets.
The Bald Eagles came away with a split on the opening weekend with a convincing victory over UPJ (92-38) on Friday. ESU won Saturday's meet (187-75).
Against UPJ on Friday, the Bald Eagles won 10 events and finished second in three events with a full-team effort.

Alexis Fraundorfer and
Gianna Gruska teamed up and won the 200-Yard Medlay Relay (1:42.20).
Jadyn Oswalt won with the 200-yard free (2:05.91) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:41.22).
Finley Musser won the 50-yard backstroke (33:10) and the 100-yard free (1:03.48).
Veronica Karboski won the 50-yard breaststroke (34:86) and the 50-yard free (26.13).
Kate MacAlister won the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.45).
Gruska won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:18.09) and teamed up with
Leah Zimmerman,
Nora Craig and
Veronica Karboski to win the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:58.44).
Against ESU on Saturday, the Bald Eagles won two events and finished second in six events.
Oswalt won the 1000-yard free (11:36.75) and finished second in the 500-yard free (5:39.12).
MacAlister won the 100-yard back (1:03.72) and finished second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:25.62).
Craig, MacAlister, Fraundorfer and Karboski finished second in the 200-yard medley relay.
Howell, Musser, Oswalt and Karboski finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Haven (1-1 overall) returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 25) to host Lycoming in a non-conference meet at 1 p.m. inside Zimmerli Pool.
