ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Lock Haven women's basketball team won its third straight game in dominant fashion on Tuesday night (Dec. 2) by traveling to Roberts Wesleyan and leaving with a 64-41 victory in non-conference action.
With the win, the Bald Eagles improve to 3-2 overall, while the Redhawks fall to 1-3.
Lock Haven led after every period, powered by a strong defensive effort, that held the Redhawks to 29 percent (15-of-52) shooting from the floor.
The Bald Eagles finished with a game-high 16 steals and five blocks, while knocking down a game-high 17 free throws at an 85 percent clip.
The Haven's best period on offense came in the third, where they shot 55 percent (6-of-11) and outscored Roberts Wesleyan 15-9 to put the game out of reach with an 18-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Three different Bald Eagles notched double-doubles to lead the charge.
Madeline Evans secured her fifth straight double-double to start the season, finishing with 16 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
Jenadia Jordan scored 13 points and pulled in a game-high 12 rebounds, while adding two assists and two steals.
Rhlyn Rouse rounded out the Bald Eagles in double figures with a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Alana Robinson scored nine points and led the defensive effort with two blocks and three steals.
Julia Whesper also had three steals.
