WBB: Alana Robinson named PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year, four Bald Eagles earn All-Conference honors

Alana Robinson earned her second straight PSAC East Defensive of the Year Award; Kiera Baughman, Jenadia Jordan and Madeline Evans join Robinson on All-PSAC East team

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Friday, March 7) – Lock Haven women's basketball junior forward Alana Robinson has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year to highlight a postseason awards haul for the Bald Eagles, as announced by the conference office on Friday. Kiera Baughman was tabbed All-PSAC East First Team, while Robinson, Jenadia Jordan and Madeline Evans landed on the Second Team.
 
The PSAC Women's Basketball All-Conference awards are voted on by the coaches. The Bald Eagles earned the highest number of All-Conference honors in the PSAC East.
 
The quartet of all-conference athletes led the Bald Eagles to a 19-8 overall record and 14-7 conference mark during the regular season.
 
On Wednesday night, Lock Haven downed Bloomsburg 70-64 at home in the PSAC Quarterfinals to earn its second straight trip to the PSAC Final Four.
 
The Haven will travel to the Western Division's top-seed Edinboro on Saturday (March 8) at 3:30 p.m.
 
Alana Robinson, Defensive Player of the Year, Second Team Forward
Robinson has earned All-PSAC honors in every season and her second straight PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year award. The junior earned First Team honors last season and Second Team honors as a freshman.
 
Robinson brought home three straight PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week awards and was menace on defense all season.
 
The Bald Eagles' single season and career blocks leader, ranked in the top five in blocks (2nd, 44) and steals (4th, 71) in the entire PSAC. Robinson secured four or more steals in seven games.
 
On the offensive end, Robinson averaged 11.1 points and 2.3 assists and became the 16th athlete in program history to score 1,000 points in a career, doing so in just three seasons.
 
Kiera Baughman, First Team Guard
Baughman led the Bald Eagles and was ranked 15th in the PSAC in scoring, with a 14.1 points per game average. The graduate transfer finished second on the team in assists (2.9) and steals (1.7) per game.
 
Baughman scored in double-figures in 20 games, including a season-high 23 points in the season opener against Concord.
 
Prior to Lock Haven, Baughman scored 1,000 points at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and was an All-PSAC West Second Team Selection in 2022-23.
 
Madeline Evans, Second Team Forward
The sophomore was named to the All-Conference Team for the first time after finishing fourth in offensive rebounds (118) and total rebounds (282) and fifth in defensive rebounds (164). Evans averaged 12 points, 10.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game.
 
Evans was a double-double machine throughout the regular season and set the program-record for single-season offensive rebounds with 118. Evans recorded nine double-doubles on the year and finished with 10 or more rebounds 12 times, including 20 or more twice.
 
After a two-game stretch in December where she averaged 17.5 points and pulled in 43 rebounds, Evans was named the NCAA DII National Player of the Week. Evans also brought home three PSAC East Athlete of the Week awards.
 
Jenadia Jordan, Second Team Guard
The junior finished second on the team and x in the conference in scoring with an average of 13.1 points per game. Jordan joined Robinson in the 1,000-point career scoring club as the 17th athlete in program history.
 
The all-conference honor is the second straight for Jordan, who brought home First Team honors in 2023-24 as a sophomore.
 
The York, Pa. native finished second behind Baughman with 129 free throws made on the year.
 
As a shooting guard, Jordan averaged 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. On the defensive end, Jordan secured 1.3 steals and pulled in 3.8 defensive rebounds per game.
 
Jordan scored in double figures in 23 games, including a season-high of 22 in the Bald Eagles victory over Georgian Court.
