LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team won game two 6-5 to split with Clarion in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division doubleheader on the final day of the 2025 regular season (Friday, May 2). The Bald Eagles fell in game on 9-7.

The Bald Eagles (17-31, 7-20 PSAC West) split with Clarion (23-26, 11-17 PSAC West) in yesterday's doubleheader at home to finish the weekend 2-2.

With the conclusion of games around the PSAC West this afternoon, Seton Hill has officially been named champions of the Western Division regular season. Lock Haven's home contest vs. California (Pa.) scheduled for Sunday has been canceled.

Game 1 Recap: Clarion 9, Lock Haven 7
Lock Haven kicked off the scoring in game one with a pair of runs from sacrifice flies by
Jake Ambrosio and
Lance Baldensperger.

Clarion responded in the same inning with three runs, before erupting for a five-spot in the bottom of the third to jump ahead 8-4.

Lock Haven scored a solo run in the top of the third thanks to a home run by
Ethan Nagy.
Â
The Bald Eagles rallied for four runs over the fourth and fifth innings to cut their deficit to 8-7, but Clarion scored a run in the sixth and shut the door over the final two frames to steal the 9-7 victory.

For Lock Haven,
Zachary McEllroy went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and two RBIs, while Nagy (HR), Baldensperger, Ambrosio (2B) and DeSiena also drove in runs.

Kevin Grenninger pitched 3.1 strong innings in relief, limiting the Golden Eagles to just one run.

Game 2 Recap: Lock Haven 6, Clarion 5
In game two, Clarion broke open the game in the bottom of the third with five runs to lead early.

However, the Bald Eagles rallied for five runs in the top of the fifth, before taking their first lead (6-5) with a four-spot in the following inning.

After a lightning delay that could have gone in the Golden Eagles favor, Bald Eagle closer
Jace Szaflarski shut the door over the final 1.1 innings to secure the victory for Lock Haven.

After homering in game one, Nagy got the ball for Lock Haven and pitched 5.2 innings, allowing five runs and striking out four to earn the victory.

During the fifth and sixth inning offensive explosion,
Bryce Vincent (2 RBI), McEllroy,
Morgen Billotte and Nagy all drove in runs.
Â
Billotte (3-for-5), Nagy (2-for-4) and Vincent (2-for-2) all recorded multiple hits. Â
