NEWVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's swimming team traveled to Newville, Pennsylvania, to compete in the John A Pidgeon Memorial & Last Chance Invitational.

Lock Haven scored 134 points in the John A Pidgeon Memorial Invitational and 148 in the Last Chance Invitational, both hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) at Big Springs High School.

The Bald Eagles returned to the pool for competition for the first time since Dec. 5, after an extended holiday break.

In the John A Pidgeon Memorial, Madison Bortner finished sixth in the 500-yard freestyle, with a finals time of 5:49.99. In the same event, Delaney Stains placed eighth with a time of 7:05.04.

In the Last Chance Invitational, Kate MacAlister finished seventh in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:24.87. In the same event, Nora Craig finished 10th with a 2:29.52.

Jadyn Oswalt finished 11th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:11.17). Right behind Oswalt in the 200-yard freestyle was Bortner (12th, 2:11.91) and Veronica Karboski (13th, 2:14.63).

Next Up:

The Bald Eagles will be back home on Saturday (Jan. 24) to face Kutztown at the Zimmerli Pool.
